From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, October 25, 2003-
MADISON-Margaret Ann Dicke, 74, of Madison, died Tuesday Oct. 21, 2003 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison with the Rev Sara Hildreth officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the Resseguie Funeral Home in Madison, with a 7:30 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star-Beulah Chapter 40 service.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison.
Mrs. Dicke was born on Dec. 8, 1928, in Norfolk to Royal and Edna (Davis) Nahrstedt. She attended rural school before graduating from Madison Senior High School in 1945. She attended the University of Nebraska, majoring in home economics.
She married David O. Dicke in Madison Jan. 18, 1953. The couple lived on a farm in Stanton County.
She served for 50 years as a 4-H leader; was past president of the Stanton Women's Club, the Stanton Livestock Feeders Auxiliary, the Nebraska Livestock Feeders Auxiliary and the Stanton High School Band Parents; she was also a participant of the Madison Garden Club, the Merry Farmerettes, her card club, the Madison County Rural Youth, and she also served as the Craft Chairperson of GFWC Federated Women's Club.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Madison and WELCA.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jayne (Patrick) Modlin of Omaha, and Debra (James) Sharrick, of Hastings; two sisters, Eileen Rotherham and Jan McCallum, both of Madison; two stepsisters, Fern Salmen of Madison, and Faye Gray, of Albion; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah, and an infant brother.
