From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, December 26, 2002-
Edmund Morlok, 83, of Columbus, Nebraska died Wednesday, December 25, 2002
at the Beverly Health Care in Columbus.
The funeral service will be Saturday, December 28, 2002, 10:30 A.M. at Peace
Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Tom Volker officiating. Interment will
be at the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 - 8:00
P.M. at Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:30 - 10-30 A.M. at
Peace Lutheran Church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M.
Edmund Morlok was born January 6, 1919 in rural Platte County, Nebraska to
Richard and Anna (Loseke) Morlok. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran
Church in Madison, Nebraska. He married Norma Wilke on December 27, 1945 at
Christ Lutheran Church, Columbus, Nebraska. Edmund farmed south of Madison
for 27 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison, where
he was an Elder and Council member. He also served on the School Board for
the rural District 83 school near Madison. He retired from farming in 1972
and moved to Columbus, where he worked for John Deere dealers and later for
Wilke Landscape Center.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in
Columbus.
