LEIGH - Morton L. "Mort" McMullin, 66, of Leigh, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002,
at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Leigh with
the Rev. Mel Wiese officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in
Leigh.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the
church. A vigil service with a rosary led by the Knights of Columbus will be
at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mr. McMullin was born May 8, 1936, to William and Seleh (Carey) McMullin. He
grew up in Leigh and was a graduate of Leigh High School. He lived in the
Leigh area all his life.
He married Mary Ann Herink on Sept. 13, 1958, in Leigh.
He was the owner and operator of McMullin Transfer at Leigh.
He was a member of the church and the Knights of Columbus Council #9898. He
served on the Board of Directors of Park Place Restaurant and Lounge at
Leigh for many years and was a former member of the Leigh Volunteer Fire
Department.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mark (Julie) McMullin and Michael
(Sandy) McMullin, all of Leigh, and Monte (Dyan) McMullin of Webster, Texas;
two daughters, Marcia (David) McCutcheon of Leigh and Michelle (John) Pieper
of Norfolk; two sisters, Eileen (Robert) Neuhaus and Ruth (Lowell) Feye, all
of Columbus; one sister-in-law, JoAnn McMullin of Creston; and thirteen
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert
McMullin and Russell McMullin; and one sister-in-law, Pat McMullin.
