Roland Daniel Marolf, 99 of rural Leigh, Nebraska, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at the Stanton Health Center, Stanton, Nebraska.
The funeral service will be Saturday, July 28, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Leigh, Nebraska, with Rev. Dr. Marsha Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and on Saturday from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM with a family prayer service at 10:15 AM all at the church.
Roland was born November 22, 1907, in rural Leigh, Nebraska, to John and Violet (Jenny) Marolf. He attended District 48 school in rural Leigh. Roland was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he was a lifetime member. Roland farmed his entire life on the family farm where he enjoyed gardening. He enjoyed visiting with neighbors about the "old times".?
