Esther R. Marolf, 88, of rural Leigh, Nebraska, died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at the Stanton Health Center, Stanton, Nebraska
The funeral service will be Wednesday, August, 1, 2007, at 2:00 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Leigh, Nebraska, with Rev. Dr. Marsha Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and on Wednesday from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the church.
Esther was born November 9, 1918, in rural Leigh, Nebraska, to John and Violet (Jenny) Marolf. She attended District 48 school in rural Leigh. Esther was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was a lifetime member. Esther was a housekeeper and lived on the family farm where she enjoyed flower gardening and reading. She enjoyed visiting with neighbors and watching "Wheel Of Fortune".
Esther was preceded in death by:
Brothers - Earl, Ed, Carter, Leonard, and Roland Marolf
