      Bertha W. Wurdeman, 100, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday, July 29, 2003
      at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.

      Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 10:30 AM at
      Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Roland A. Jank and Rev.
      Richard Bringewatt officiating. Interment will be at the Roselawn Memorial
      Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00
      PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the
      church, with a family prayer service at 10:15 AM.

      Bertha Wilhelmina Wurdeman was born October 10, 1902 in rural Columbus,
      Nebraska to John and Louise (Wurdeman) Ahrens. She was baptized and
      confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church. She attended District 2 school, rural
      Columbus.

      Bertha married Carl (Reiny) Wurdeman on March 28, 1951 in Wray,
      Colorado. They lived in Loveland, Colorado for 20 years and moved to
      Columbus in 1971. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a
      homemaker.
