  _P_CCINFO 2-14330 From THE GASS-HANEY FUNERAL HOME ARCHIVES- COLUMBUS -- Laura A. Mueller, 96, of Columbus died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus. Services are 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. John's Lutheran Shell Creek in rural Columbus with the Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the church. Mrs. Mueller was born Nov. 10, 1904, in rural Platte County near Richland to William and Anna (Schutte) Klug. She attended rural grade school and worked on the family farm. She married Clarence Mueller on May 3, 1932, in rural Columbus. She was a member of the church and had served as an organist for 12 years. She also belonged to the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed camping with the Lutheran Camper organization and playing cards. She was a homemaker. Music was a very important part of her life. Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Delores) Mueller of Longmont, Colo., and Merle (Joan) Mueller of Richland; one brother, Herbert Klug and one sister, Erna (Harvey) Mueller, all of Columbus; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Raymond Klug, Ewald Klug and Louis Klug; and two sisters, Alvina Siefken and Esther Grotelueschen.
