Hilda Littelman, 91 of Madison, Nebraska, (formerly of Leigh, Nebraska) died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Countryside Home in Madison.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh with Rev. Terry Timm officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Leigh. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and continue on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 AM on Wednesday in the church fellowship hall. Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church or the family choice.
Hilda was born April 16, 1916, in rural Platte County, Nebraska, to William and Clara (Marty) Johannes. Hilda was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. She attended rural Platte County grade school and Zion Lutheran School. She married Edgar Littelman on December 31, 1942, at Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh. They made their home on the family farm near Creston, Nebraska. After retirement, they made their home in Leigh. Hilda was a homemaker, a seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, and reading. She was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aide and Sewing Circle, and the Merry Farmeretts Extension Club.
