From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, November 1, 2005-
COLUMBUS - Elzada L. Muhle, 96, of Columbus, (formerly of Schuyler) died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at the Prairie Village Retirement Center in Columbus.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Shell Creek with the Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. There will be family prayer service on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. at the church.
Elzada Muhle was born in Colfax County to Julius and Minnie (Korte) Hunteman. She attended rural Colfax County schools. On June 28, 1929, Elzada was united in marriage to Elmer Muhle in Omaha. They farmed south of Leigh until 1970 when they moved to Schuyler. Elzada was a life long member of the church where she was involved with the ladies aid. She enjoyed her card club, embroidering, crocheting, and flower gardening.
Elzada was survived by her daughter, Ilene (Dwain) Carr of Columbus; daughter, Geraldine (Earl) Folken of Schuyler; son, Adrian (Pat) Muhle of Schuyler; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Ethel Klug of Columbus.
Elzada was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Minnie Hunteman; husband, Elmer Muhle; sister, Esther Voss; and sister, Irene Klug.
