The funeral service will be Friday, January 10, 2003, 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shell Creek with Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:45 A.M. Millie Muhle was born March 9, 1910 in Leigh, Nebraska to Gustave & Meta (Hoffmann) Hilbert. Millie went to school in Leigh and graduated from Leigh High School and then attended business school in Grand Island, Nebraska. On September 12, 1928, Millie married Arnold D. Muhle in Leigh. She lived her entire life in the Leigh area until moving to Columbus in 1965. After moving to Columbus, Millie worked in the kitchen at Columbus High School for many years. Millie was a member of the Ladies Aid and the quilting club at St. John's Lutheran Church and she also enjoyed going bowling. Millie is survived by: Son: David (Karen) Muhle - Wayne, NE Son: Kenneth (Edna) Muhle - Longmont, CO Son: Donald (Ina Mae) Muhle - Columbus, NE Son: Arnold (Pat) Muhle Jr. - Columbus, NE Daughter: Joan Zuroski - Omaha, NE Daughter: Elaine (Dale) Euchner - York, NE Daughter: Shirley (Clinton) Johannes - Columbus, NE 16 Grandchildren 31 Great-Grandchildren 1 Great-Great-Grandchild Millie was preceded in death by: Husband: Arnold D.
