Ruth graduated from Iowa State University. She was an All State guard at Iowa State. She coached girls’ basketball at Laurel and Green Mountain IA in 1939. She taught mathematics a number of years in Evanston, ILL. She also taught a year in England as an exchange teacher. She and Marlys Fritzel taught together in Laurel and also in Evanston. They retired and lived in Batavia where Ruth died.
