      From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, January 7, 2002-

      Velma Frese, 92, of Belgrade, Montana, formerly of Columbus died Sunday,
      January 05, 2003 at Edgewood Vista in Belgrade, Montana.

      Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Columbus, Nebraska on
      Friday, January 10, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Michael Klatt officiating.
      Interment will be at the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation
      will be held at Gass Haney Funeral Home on Friday, from 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM.

      Velma Victoria Frese was born November 26, 1910 in Colfax County, Nebraska
      to Emil Henry and Rosa Sophia (Wilke) Grotelueschen. Velma attended Christ
      Lutheran School and graduated from Leigh High School. She attended Wayne
      State Normal School an earned a teachers certificate, she then taught at
      Langley School in rural Colfax County.

      On March 1, 1936, Velma and LeRoy Adolph Frese were united in marria
      Christ Lutheran Church in rural Columbus, Nebraska. The couple farmed north
      of Columbus until 1998.

      Daughter - Rachel (Larry) Holle - Bozeman, MT
