Funeral services for James Melvin Grotelueschen, 32, 2671 33rd Avenue, who died Wednesday at the VA Hospital, Omaha, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gass-Haney Chapel, with Rev. Ernest Smith officiating.
Burial is at Roselawn Cemetery with military grave side services. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at Gass Haney Funeral Home.
He was born April 10, 1946, at Columbus, son of Melvin A. and Margaret (Raabe) Grotelueschen. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School, Columbus Senior High School, and the University of Nebraska. He served in the Vietnam conflict, and after military service, resided in Boulder, Colo., Tacoma and Seattle, Wash. He lived in Columbus for the past three years and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his mother, three sisters, Mrs. Ned (Kathleen) Alexander, Peoria, Ill., and Beth and Kay Grotelueschen of Columbus; one nephew; grandmothers, Mrs. Otto W. Raabe, Beemer, and Mrs. Hilda Grotelueschen of Oakland, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father and grandfathers, Otto W. Raabe of Beemer and Ernst Grotelueschen.
