      COLUMBUS -- Clara R. Bargmann, 105, of Columbus, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.

      From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM-

      Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Roland A. Jank officiating. Burial will be at Columbus Cemetery.

      Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the church.

      Mrs. Bargmann was born Sept. 13, 1896, on a farm eight miles north of Columbus to Hermann and Meta (Hinrichs) Garms.

      She married Roy Bargmann on May 8, 1919. They bought the Garms home place and farmed there until 1936, then moved to a farm south of Columbus where they farmed until they retired in 1950. They then moved to Columbus.

      She was a member of the church and a charter member of the Country Ladies Guild.

      Survivors include her daughter, Ella (Bill) Horton of Lakewood, Colo.; two daughters-in-law, Irene Bargmann of Columbus and Rosalie Bargmann of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Herbert Bargmann and Raymond Bargmann; and six sisters, Alma Wurdeman, Lillie Wendt, Ida Garms, Annie Behle, Erna Schroeder and Emma Garms.

      Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.
