      From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, November 22, 2002-

      COLUMBUS - Vera Viola Jenny, 99, of Columbus died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at
      the Countryside Home at Madison.

      A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gass Haney Funeral
      Home in Columbus with the Rev. Douglas Zurek officiating. Burial will be at
      Roselawn Memorial Cemetery at Columbus.

      There will be no visitation.

      There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral
      home.

      Mrs. Jenny was born Jan. 28, 1903, in Cass County to Marvin and Diana
      (Crawford) Bushnell. She attended District 58 in Cass County and graduated
      from Ashland High School. She moved to Platte County and taught school at
      District 48.

      She married J. Ben Jenny on April 22, 1922, at the Jenny farm. They farmed
      south of Leigh and in Colfax County. They moved to Columbus in 1956. She was
      employed at Jackson Laundry for 15 years.

      She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

      Survivors include three sons, Elgin (Ruth) Jenny of Mesa, Ariz., Donald
      (Janel) Jenny of Columbus and Jack (Marcy) Jenny of Lander, Wyo.; three
      daughters, Phyllis (John) Yates of San Marcos, Texas, Doris (Marvin) Bahns
      of Clarkson and MaryAnn (Robert) Wiegand of Denver; 15 grandchildren; 29
      great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; six
      sisters; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

      Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.
