Services for Mrs. Emil (Rosa) Grotelueschen, 90, Leigh, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, preceded by a 1:45 p.m. family prayer service.
Pastor Martin Bornemann will officiate, with burial in Christ Lutheran Cemetery. The body lies in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel until noon Wednesday, then at church, 1-2 p.m.
Daughter of John H. and Anna (Neemeyer) Wilke, she was born Nov. 24, 1887 in Platte County. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, attended parochial and rural schools and married Emil H. Grotelueschen Feb. 28, 1908 at Christ Lutheran. Since she lived south of Leigh. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
Eight children survive: Clarence, Eugene and Martin of Leigh; Mrs. LeRoy (Velma) Frese of Columbus; Edna of Seward; Mrs. Reinhold (Anna) Bock of Readlyn, Iowa; Mrs. Paul (Evelyn) Mueller of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Frederick (Rose Marie) Graft of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Gottlieb Wilke of Columbus; sister, Irene Wilke of Canby, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Gilbert; one grandchild; brothers, Emil, John, Rudolph and infant Adolph; sisters, Mrs. Emil (Clara) Wurdeman and Mathilda Wilke.
