Rudy was the Manager of the Farmer's Union Coop Oil Station in Leigh, NE. for many years.
Nephew Bill Ehlers remembers-
"When Uncle Rudy was the manager and Niels Olson was working there, they kept a big flare gun inside. Whenever my Mom would pull up to the pump to fill up, either Rudy or Niels would sneak out with the empty gun and scare me through the car window. They thought that was so funny. I finally caught on and would hide below the window, inside the car. Of Course, they figured that out real fast!
Rudy was my sponsor at my Baptism and we were always close."
